We have spent a bit of time in the green areas dotted around the London area, and I thought that I would post some photos we have taken.
One of these is called Hampstead Heath, and it is a large forest area in the very affluent north London suburb of Hampstead. Apparently the suburb is the home of a lot of movie stars and other rich and famous types. It is on a hill, and it has good views over the city of London. Like many of the green areas in London, it has a number of huge mansions on it, harking back to the days when all these areas were big estates for the rich people who lived on them to enjoy.
The other is the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. An outside ice skating rink has just opened up at the gardens and we plan to go back there for skating soon.
