Canterbury Cathedral and Stratford-upon-Avon

Hi there, it's been a while but yes, Johnnie and I are stilling travelling and still exploring Europe.  The latest adventures have been to Canterbury and to Stratford-upon-Avon, both towns in England.

Canterbury is a very old town that has an amazing cathedral!  It's so very old and so very creepy too!  It dates back to 597AD, has an 11th Century Crypt, a 12th Century Quire and a 14th Century Nave!  We were there when a choir was singing in one part of the building and the music was reverberating throughout, amazing!

Stratford-upon-Avon is interesting too mainly because it is the birthplace of the famous playwright Shakespeare.  It was also really old.  It has quaint buildings with rough wooden frames that look like they could topple over in a second.  The Avon River runs through one part of it and is just lovely.

So that's about all really.  Stay tuned for our Spain and then Rome trips in a few months.

Still following your travel adventures with interest!I loved Canterbury too, especially the cathedral (so much really old stuff in there!!!) but didn't go to Stratford-on-Avon. Looking forward to your next installment. Try to go to Scotland, especially the Isle of Skye if you can, you will love it.
