We made a one night stop to dusseldorf to visit our friend Joan last tuesday, and also to have a look around and scope out the town as a possible place to live when we come for a year or two. Dusseldorf was nice enough, and we had a good time in our short stop, but the beauty in Bavaria far outweighed anything we saw in Dusseldorf. Admittedly we didn't stay too long and perhaps our opinion would have been different if we had- also, I managed to catch a cold in Amsterdam which had my glands swollen and me incredi-tired during Dusseldorf which probably didn't help. We had a great time regardless, and got to eat some fabulous currywurst which was probably our dusseldorf highlight, haha.
I'll have to do a belated Amsterdam, UK, Paris and Zurich (again, grr!) update sometime soon!
