We arrived late at night to a hostel that had been recommended to us by many many peoples. But when we got there we thought it was a bit pricey so liam and Dylan went to look for a cheaper one. The took tooooo long so frey torz kdog and aaron checked in anyway =)
We were in a massive dorm and you just had to feel sorry for the other people in there who had to put up with our shenanigans.
Im not going to lie to you. Medellin exists for the sole purpose of getting travellers like ourselves wicked drunk everynight.
The first night we went out, we didnt even make it to a club, we drank at random bar son the side of the road until they closed! But even then the party went on!!
There was a rule in the hostel that you couldnt bring in alcohol from outside as they had a bar…i think we made it to the bar 3 times, we just snuk in run and aquadiente (the local drink that tasted like death mixed with sambuca) in our rooms until we were SMASHED enough to enjoy our night out!
We had a couple of Really awesome nights, onw night the hostel hosted a drinking verison of an iron man competition. You basicallt had to drink 3 beers while completing a rangr of activities, and the first person who finished won. Liam passed out on the pool table. Freya entered the ladie sone but decided to slowly sip her beers so as to enjoy them. THE CROWD was not happy!!!!
We made it to clubs a couple of times, but some of them had rules about wearing decent clothes…and there was no way the boys we were with were putting on jeans and actual shoes!!!
Our main daily activities consisted of walking to the supermarket….cooking mass amounts of scrambles eggs, watching movies, and basically recovering from the night before!!!
One one day kallista, torz and liam went on a pablo escobar tour which they enjoyed. The others enjoyed more movies!!
On the day we cheacke dout, we realised it was impossible to leave…so checked back in for another couple of nights!!!
It was a terrible, yet incredible place.
Good to go though!!!
