Willow Park Rest Area Rosedale 22/06/2010

We left Gembrook after lunch for a rather easy drive up the M1 freeway to our stop for the night at a very pleasant rest area just out of the small town of Rosedale next to the Latrobe River.  In spite of being quite close to the main highway we had the whole area to ourselves – apart from the locals who took quite an interest in our presence.  With it having been a nice sunny day it was quite cold overnight – especially not having the benefit of power to plug into and run our heater from.  There was however phone, internet and TV reception, something we are looking forward to being more available now that we are back in more populated areas of the island.  Funny thing seeing the All Whites draw another game and the Aussies get another red card…
