Hey neglected Blavel,
Long time no see, but where better to brag about my travel plans next year but here? :P Actually, I was just thinking about what trips we'll be doing over the course of next year. We set the bar pretty high for ourselves this year with Jackson Hole/San Fran/LA, Vanuatu and Perth (which, btw, was totally fantastic. Highly recommended. Gorgeous city, lovely weather and beautiful landscapes. Adored it and wish we'd had more time there!). So thus far, plans for next year are looking like:
Super-secret trip for Anko's birthday in April (can you believe I've managed to keep a secret for such a long time?!). I wish I could tell you more about this, but don't want to risk giving it away! Suffice to say, it's going to be a lot of fun.
In July, I'm heading to Melbourne for a conference; we're thinking that we'll spend a few days in Melbourne after the conference, and a few days in Hobart after Melbourne, just to explore. Neither of us have been to Hobart before, and with tickets so cheap there's no reason not to go when we're down in Melbourne.
In September- fingers crossed- I'll be attending a conference in Hawaii. It also happens to be our one-year wedding anniversary, so the plan is: Fly with Japan airlines to Tokyo- stay in Tokyo for around 5 days, and then head to Hawaii for about a week, before coming home (again via Tokyo, but this time no stop over). We've been dying to go back to Japan since we had that three day stop over on the way to Europe last year. It will be awesome to spend a little more time there. Hawaii should be beautiful as well.
So, there's the travel plans for next year! If our finances will allow us, I would love to spend Christmas in Germany- a white christmas with the Munich markets and gluhwein is high on my travel priority list! We would stay with Nick's aunt again and spend Christmas with his family in Germany if we did do that... we'll see. Lots of upcoming excitement!Yay for catching the travel bug!
